Crinum sp. soon to bloom

    For those of you familiar with our native Crinum americanum, this is the tropical giant version. They can get up to 5 ft. tall. I find they perform best with partial shade.

    Great fragrance, too.

    very nice plant,..and a five footer as well as being fragrant,..now that is one i would like.

    They sure are different than the Crinum I have. Pretty flowers!

    Very nice! Please post pics when fully open.
    Mine is the asiaticum version as I brought it home from Taiwan in 2005.
    With me, just one flower stalk per year and usually late in the summer, even fall. I remember last year it was so late that the seeds didn't mature...
