What adorable critters. What kind of Lizard is that? I don't think we have those, very pretty. I love the Toad, mine hasn't been around this year :-?
I like that lizard too, it looks so smooth. Imagine a robin in a flower box! I'd love to have one. Nice toad too. We have frogs, but not toads.
Well I have frogs, toads and newts in the garden but have never seen a lizard. Yours looks like a Orange Headed Skank Lizard (I cheated and looked it up on the net.) I hope your robin manages to raise a family and that you get the chance to see them fledging from your flower box.
Its fun to share garden space with all the various critters... Like the ones you have there... NOT bunnies, racoons opossums, snakes... I had a little toad last year, but haven't seen any so far. Yesterday I rescued a small Robin that had gotten itself into my big blue planter (the big one) and couldn't get out. I put a smaller pot on a pedestal inside this big beauty, so there is space below. The bird was squawkin "HELP" It took me a while to figure out where it was. Glad I did too, because it is so hot, it probably wouldn't have made it! The poor bird was so scared, and relieved when I helped it get outta there! group of blue pots ( photo / image / picture from Kay's Garden )
Donna--This is a great posting. I love all your "critters". It is fun to watch them come & go in your garden. Presently I have such a "critter", but not one I am glad to see. It is an adorable baby bunny that is giving some very treasured perennials "haircuts" just as they are about to bloom. I have sought advice from GS, and have tried various methods of deterrence with variable results. I think, the bunny is training me more than the opposite. Actually, what has been most effective, ironically are the grey squirrels. They seem to feel dear bunny is an intruder who has designs on their bird feeder, and they keep chasing him away! If I can get a photo of this, I will post it. In the meantime, here are some pix of my "dear" bunny. Oh those baby bunnies are so adorable, and so naughty!! The little ones can be so destuctive because they like to taste everything, and when they find something they like they chomp down the entire plant. Bad, bad, bad bunnies... I'm proud of my blue pots. I used to have a cluster of numerous containers there to fill that area, but wanted to simplify. These ceramic beauties are an investment!
