I had this silver wire, lots of pale pink and grey pearls and a chrocheting needle, and I started playing with an idea on a bracelet. It turned out quite nice, so I made a necklace to match. I don't quite know how I did it, but I like the result, and am definately going to make some variations on this theme:

I sewed the beads on with silver wire after I had finished crocheting. It seemed easier than threading while crocheting.

The good thing about this is that it's fairly flexible and can be pulled into shape.

    Thank you all!

I'll be keeping them. They're not that good, but they look good, which is fine.

My grandmother taught me how to crochet - this set was made by playing around with the silver thread.

I worked with them in the evenings, but not every evening, so I used between one and two weeks I think.

Now I get frustrated, because I don't know the crocheting words in English! I started by crocheting a line as long as I wanted the piece, and kept on going with the low crocheting masks. I did not throw the thread around the needle, but just pulled it through the next hole in the line befor I made a throw and pulled the thread through both loops. If anybody understood that, they've got a great mind-reading talent.

You made a chain the length you wanted the finished piece to be. The stitch you used is called a single crochet.
It would have been a double crochet if you had thrown the thread (looped the thread) around the needle (hook) before pulling thread thru the next hole (stitch)

My grandmother taught me to crochet when I was about 10, been doing it off and on for 50 years.

Forgot to say the collar and bracelet are beautiful.

Toni, I bow before you! Now that I read what you wrote I can't understand why I didn't manage to explain it that way... Now I need to sit down and try to remember the crocheting words.

The jewelry is absolutely beautiful. I don't even know how to crochet... but to do it with wire and put pearls/beads on as well. You really have talent and imagination. Congrats on a great job ;)

Thank you kuntrygal. Crocheting is fairly easy to learn and to do. You should try it.
