Sad news for all Crododile Hunter fans... Story here: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/asia-pacific/5311298.stm
Yes, I heard that on the news this morning. Sad--for his family. I enjoyed watching him, he was always so entertaining and full of energy.
Somehow I think we all believed Steve would go on for ever as his whole life was full of risk-taking. He'll be sorely missed as he was a great environmentalist. I feel so sad for his wife and two young children.
Here is a great interview Conan O'Brien did with Steve. Makes you realise it even more what a shame this is
My dad loved Steve Irwin and when I lived at home we watched a series amount of Crocodile Hunter. We feel sad for his children, but when you have to go, well, I wanna go doing something I love, and he was certainly doing what he loved, interacting with nature at its wildest.
ugh! as a kid when anyone asked me what i wanted to be when i grew up the answer was and always will be "the crocodile hunter" theres not much any one can say to make this any easier, i just wish i could have met him, i model my life from his from now forth and i "will" go to the australlia zoo someday, steve will always be in our hearts, rest in peace steve
