We have never had these at are feeders ever. Then two weeks ago they showed up and have stayed. At first I thought we had a Pine Siskin that had a larger than normal white wing bar. Then when I was watching one day I thought one may have hurt it's beak. The top one was longer and very curved and off to one side. Upon closer inspection I saw it was a female White-winged Crossbill. I sure hope they stay around and that a male will show up also as they are a very rosy red color like the purple finch.

WOW lucky you!! We have crossbills up north but I've never actually seen one. I certainly haven't seen a white winged - aren't they lovely with that white wing bar? So glad they've decided to stay around and that you got photographs of them. :-D
