Here's my 2nd recently purchased Azalea. Hubby says it's a miniature. The tag said "Ruffle" and had "Orange" hand-written on it. To me... it's a Salmon color. Sure is cute little thing!

An excellent color for an Azalea. The lines between colors are so easily blurred, salmon gives it more character. I'm sure the bush will appreciate the distinction, as you will with its small size. The options for location with smaller bushes are many. I'm sure you will enjoy it for many years to come.

I think I missed the first Azalea Cheryl, what color was it?

Jerry... the first one was pink. Very pretty too.

That is a cutie and the color is gorgeous. How big will it get when mature?

I haven't tried growing Azaleas in years. My first attempt was a dismal failure, not sure they do very well up here or at least not in my yard.

Toni... I don't have a clue to it's size or anything. I didn't even know it was an Azalea until Hubby told me.

Azaleas are such a great shrub--colorful, easy care, and bloom their little heads off!
I wish our soil was acidic enough to support azaleas, but we are too alkaline. I'll just have to enjoy your photos, Cheryl!

I have a few azaleas in my garden and love to see them in full bloom. I don't have one that's the same colour as yours is though - maybe another trip to a garden centre is called for. ;)

Jane.... You know... I must get our soil sampled... just to know. I mean, nearly anything that's planted grows like crazy, but it would be nice to know more about it.
Eileen... I found this little beauty at the grocery store! They had a few varieties of shrubs... 3 for $10! I couldn't pass up a deal like that, now could I?

I really like those dwarf azalias. I buy 3-4 a year during the wintertime. Here they are an indoors plant that cost next to nothing and lasts far longer than any cut-flower boquet.

No, you couldn't pass up on such good flower/plant deals. ;)

    Congrats!
