cutting trees and shurbs

    when is the best time to cut back a branch of a tree of shurb. i heard when there cut you should put glue in to center of the cut is that also true thanks :rolleyes:

    I trim my trees during the summer and autumn - same with my shrubs. As long as there's no risk of frost you should be OK. I've never put glue on any of the cut ends and can't really see it being much of an advantage as the cut branch will more than likely grow side shoots anyway. Maybe someone else will have experience with the glue you are talking about. Sorry I can't be more helpful.
