The first of the daily edible berries, I have 35, is Arctostaphylos uva-ursi, Common bearberry.

Today we have one that most people would eat in the woods, Rubus laciniatus, Evergreen Blackberry.

The last one is the evergreen blackberry, not the usual European bramble. Rubus armeniacus, Himalayan blackberry. This is the bramble that you all love.

We're only ones here that love blackberries. All the birds in the garden like to have a feast when the berries ripen. They usually make it to the fruit before we get a chance but I don't mind in the least.

I don't think we have bog blueberries here - at least I can't ever remember seeing them before.

I love finding a berry bush that no one else(man or beast) has found.
Now, with these posts I can enjoy more berries. :)

I have some wild strawberries growing in the garden just for the birds. There's always a flurry of activity when the berries ripen.
