Number one for the start of the daily poisonous plants is Amelanchier alnifolia, Saskatoon Berry. Parts of any plant may be OK but they will have a poisonous part somewhere.

A rather attractive plant even if parts of it are poisonous. I don't ever touch wild plants just look at them but it's still good to know which ones can cause problems.

I should start one with edible berries to counteract these poisonous plants.

    Kildale...
do you mean that there is a plant that you can eat to off set the effects of the poisonous one...Or do you mean counter balance the poisonous ones with a safe one type of series? Just want to clarify that. Thanks

This one looks so innocent but is deadly. It's one of the first flowers I warned my children about when they were young.

I'm so glad you started this topic as it will help us know which plants to avoid.

I am enjoying this series Kildale. I didn't realize that Scarlet Pimpernel was poisonous.
