Hello! I am excited to be here! I live and garden in Maryland, just between Annapolis and Baltimore, in the Chesapeake Bay area. I am so looking forward to learning and talking about gardening with all of you. I work in my yard all Spring, Summer and Fall and often have several questions that send me into my books or online. I'm excited to find folks who love their gardens too. Lots of stuff grows in my yard (some stuff I wish wouldn't!!) -- my favorites are my fig trees. One other thing: I live in my childhood home so I've gardened in this space for almost 50 years! Everyone, have a lovely day.
Hi daisybeans, welcome to the Stew from north Texas. I have one Fig Tree, it is pretty much the first thing I planted out back. We don't eat Figs so it becomes the worlds largest bird feeder in July when they are all ripe.
Hi daisybeans and welcome from Herts UK. Great to have you with us. Fancy you gardening in the same place for all those years, you must know every inch of your garden. Maybe we could see some photos some time
Welcome, Daiseybeans, from coastal NC. You must have a well-established garden. Love to see pictures!
Ha! Mine too. I eat some but the squirrels and birds argue over the rest. I like to watch all the activity.
Hello Gardengirl and Gardengator... yeah, I do know every inch of this yard, but I'll tell you, I spend an awful lot of time battling invasive vines and mimosa trees... THOSE are very well established!! I will post photos when things start blooming -- I really enjoy looking at everyone elses. Thanks for the warm welcome.

...and here was your welcome thread. Welcome, Daisybeans, from the chilly coast of Norway! I'm so looking forward to stewing with you, and seeing your garden too.
Wow a garden of fifty years. I am in awe. Oh yes - how rude of me - Welcome to the stew. 8) I also have a fig tree - about 8 years old. However, my tree is in some danger of being consumed by a bug. I am fighting it on a daily basis. I am looking forward to stewing with you.
