Daisybeans, this bud's for you!

    Maryann sent me these iris about 3 months ago. When they arrived it was still snowing so they sat in my potting shed, waiting for spring to get here. One day I ventured out and planted them. I figured it would be at least a year before they did anything, maybe even 2 years. To my surprise yesterday I found this little fella sending up a bud!! I used the water bottle as a comparison to show how small they still are :p Cute! Cute! Cute! Thanks again MaryAnn :-D

    I think as long as you have 3 or more parts of the leaves coming up when you plant it you usually gets a stalk. I didn't realize that until someone else told me...

    What color is it? I just had someone give me black ones....I planted them in a hurry and then realized the rose of sharon bush has really taken off this spring and will most likely block most of the light so this fall I plan on moving them...

    It is supposed to be purple!! I bet those black ones will be gorgeous!!
