I had 4 ripe Strawberries I was going to pick and eat this morning with breakfast.Well I went out there and some how something got in and ate 3 of the strawberry flowers, broke off 5 stems and ate 3 strawberries.

The good news I got to pick and eat one of them and boy was it good :-D . Just wish I could have had all to myself instead of sharing with wildlife. Well I do have 2 more getting ready to ripen. They wont rob me again!

Sounds as though a hungry bird made it to those strawberries before you did Newgrow. It's happened to me in the past and you really do feel quite disappointed to find out they've vanished and you can't enjoy them.

    Dang indeed.
I know that feeling - I hardly had figs this year as some bug was intent on getting to them even before the birds to to it.

I do not mind sharing with the birds. But these bugs were just rude and did not want anyone else to benefit.
Just had an idea. Maybe someone knows this type of bug. I do not know it and this is the first year that I encountered them on my figtree.
    Here goes.

Well I won't be growing figs any time soon if it attracts bugs like that!! I have no idea what it is but just know I never want to meet one.

That is one crazy looking bug! Sounds as I'm not the only one with bug issues. Sorry for the loss

At least if you can see them, you can hand pick those
critters off. It's sad to lose plants to tiny insects like spider mites.

Yep it is quite a huge one compared to the normal rhino bugs etc. I would say that one is about 2 inches long and quite hard. THey do emit quite a loud sound when interrupted when they are feeding. Carzy bug indeed Newgrow.
And you are right cuatro-gatos I do actually hand pick them off. I do not really like spraying insecticides and even if I did none of the other gardeners in my area spray which means I would be fighting a futile battle.

Gosh I would be happy if someone could id it. It is always better to know what one is dealign with.
