It got up to 93 deg F. today. Had a south west wind blowing at a pretty good clip, but it had the same affect as if you had a fan in the hot oven blowing the air into the kitchen! It's now 6:30 pm and still 91 deg. They said the heat index was up to 105.

There are times that I'm really grateful I live in Scotland. I'm not at my best in the heat and wouldn't be able to cope very well with temperatures as high as yours are.

Glad I am where I am. Enjoy the heat while you can. I'm sure the snow will blow soon enough.

That's the temps we enjoyed when in Sweden. 34°C is a bit too hot for doing anything. :D You're more than welcome to send us some of your surplus degrees, Capt.

We normally only have 1 or 2 days of 90 deg or higher a year. We have already had about 2 dozen and it's only the 3rd week of July! August is normally our hottest month.

If you are like us, no air conditioning. It can be brutal getting that much heat. Hope you can stay cool inside.

We have central air, but it has barely shut off during the day for the last 2 days. And we only have it set on 78.

I was on the beach in Strathmere, NJ yesterday. This is between Ocean City and Sea Isle City. I have never in all my life been on the beach and felt such heat. As soon as we moved off of wet sand onto dry it felt as if we walked into an oven. It is physically draining. Hopefully, the possibility of a storm today might cool things off a bit.

A cold front came through this morning and we got 1/4 inch of rain. 93 yesterdat (Sat.) and 83 for a high today. The patches of blue sky that I can see is dark blue which means low humidity. It's about time!
