Doris (aka SewNSow) sent me a start of her's. And it bloomed yesterday... WOW! It's huge, just as she said.... at least double the size of the "regular" Daylilies.
I'm thrilled to have this! Thanks SewSowSoooooooooo much!

Lovely tetraploid, If you have other tetraploids the seeds may be interesting. Perhaps it could give you a chance to 'play bee'. :)

Eileen... the photo doesn't do it justice. I swear planes can spot it from the sky.
Philip... I couldn't believe how large it was. And there's 3 more buds. I think if more than one opened at a time, the stem would collapse from the weight.
Jerry... I think I'll let the bees keep their job. I wouldn't even know where to begin to cross-breed pollinate a flower.

Hi Cheryl,..i would try for cross pollination,..imagine if you could cross it with a favorite Day Lily and get it to bloom as large as your Primal Scream  :)

Yes! Lovely, living proof that everything is bigger in Texas!
What a lovely flower, and what a nice association with a fellow Stewbie with a great garden and a generous heart.

Doris... right now, water is NOT a problem.
I'm almost afraid the ground is too wet. Nah... not really. :-D
I pamper my daylilies a little more than anything else since I planted them in my Mom's honor.
I truly appreciate your generosity in sending me a very extraordinary lily. :stew2:
