There is a total eclipse of the moon tonight and I can see it happening from my drive way. The moon disappeared at about 10:36pm.

Nice shot KK. I didn't see the eclipse here as it was in the wee hours, but I did see the beautiful full moon before.

We had cloud cover, so no chance to see the eclipse. I was wondering if you and SH got to see it, as well as the members from Australia.
Thanks for posting the picture--I got to see the eclipse!

I heard about it, but didn't look for it as it was supposed to be visible from the western part of the US, but only while I was asleep, So thanks for the picture.

Not much of it was viewable east of Calif/Nevada. Maybe some near the beginning of the event but it was so low in the sky by then that it sat and the sun started rising before much of the rest of the US could see.

The next one viewable in most of the U.S. is in April 2014

Unfortunately this Aussie member missed it also, due to loads of cloud cover. Thanks for sharing your photo.

I must have been awake, but it was daylight when it was dark in Malacca. Cool picture KK.

Thank you all, I totally forgotten about it until I went out to lock the gate.

Marlingardener, I could see it for a short while when I realised that it was a eclipse. It was already almost in the advance stages and diasppeared completely within 30 minutes. When I went out to see it again about an hour or so later it was shinning brightly again.

I saw it! :D The clouds parted for a few minutes just when I was at the stables, and I enjoyed part of the eclipse. I find such phenomena very interesting.
