Whew, seems like one thing after another keeps popping up around here! I'm still working on the painting-the-whole-house part. Note of warning, if you try to paint a pale color over a very dark one, it's gonna take a few coats. Whine.
In the midst of painting the house, the goats decided they wanted to see what all the fun was. And broke their fence. It's been failing for awhile anyways, so we hauled them over to the home of a VERY kind friend who goat-sat for a couple of days while we pulled new wire. I still need to run a hot strand around the inside but hopefully they won't notice anytime soon.
And DS moved back home from his summer job. Then DD started her first year of high school (major mom-trauma there). My tiny-even-for-a-banty started laying eggs. Really tiny eggs. Picture a chicken egg slightly larger than a robin's. They are so cute fried! I think I'll let her hatch out a clutch come spring.
The apple trees are loaded, which kept us going working outside, but my tomatoes grew so lush that they shaded out my peppers, sigh. I just wasn't paying close enough attention.
Rats, my self-imposed time limit is passed and I gotta get back to work (and a quick read of posts)

Well I knew you were going to have a busy time of it Mary but gee you've done so much since you were last here!! So glad to see you posting again and I hope you'll have time to pop in and keep us updated on your progress with the painting. Fingers crossed the goats don't find out that you haven't put a hot strand on the new fence yet. :stew1:

Course we did. You have been busy, it will be so worth it when it is done. Are you painting the inside or outside of the house?? I get like that in the autumn, I am currently redecorating.

It must be all that bike riding that gives you so much energy. Painting is a pain but sometimes necessary. We did miss you though. Welcome back! dooley
