Yup, I am on my 'get ready for Christmas' diet. Hate dieting! Well, I don't, what I hate is thinking about it! Eating well is easy as I have so much lovely fresh produce at the moment, but when I am 'dieting' I fixate on foods! GGRR. Mind you, lost 3Ib this week, so that was good. Still a long way to go, in a house full of jam and cakes!!
I know how you feel. When working in the yard I was using up the calories I was taking in, but this year I realized that I was still taking in the same amount of calories but not doing the yard work to balance it out. I will have to go back to the "diet" I was on for years, drinking a glass of milk whenever I feel hungry and making dinner my one daily meal. It worked for years keeping my weight steady.
I've givem up with diets. I've resigned myself to the fact that I'm fit, fat and over forty - could be worse I suppose. :-?
I'm with Eileen - fit, fat and over forty. Maybe not as fit as I should be but I've stop caring so much.
Well I guess I'm fit since I sling 50 and 60 pound boxes around for eight hours a day. I am losing, but very slowly. As long as I stay away from the sweets I do good. But I'm happy and I am not trying to impress anyone so as long as I don;t get huge I'm ok with it.
Well I fit right in here. I go to weight watchers. It's not that I want to be skinny. I want to be able to stay as healthy as I can and I know that the extra weight I carry doesn't help my blood pressure or cholesteral. Didn't use to be a problem but the years caught up with me
I fit in here too.I'm 20 lbs over weight I look like more as I'm only 5 ft. tall.I'm not even healthy .My heart is not in great shape.I have still got clogged arterties.I had Quad.Bypass and still had 3 more blockages just not quiet bad enough to by pass yet I try to watch out but its hard with all this southern food.Good luck on the diets.
Well if I gain a stone, then up rushes my blood pressure - an inherited family problem. I do step and aerobics classes, but the loss is slllllloooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwww. Had mum to stay this weekend, and as we are doing it together, it is easier as we have a laugh about it. Good luck everyone. I am willing us all on!
I think we need to keep a sense of humor because if you let weight issues and dieting get to you it can be very depressing. I've battled my weight all my life I have a very dear friend who uses this motto "I might be fat but I'm cute because God wouldn't make me fat & ugly!" She is adorable :-D Deanna
I'm at the other end of the scale, I would love to put on a few pounds. Not that it bothers me that much.
