I am going to get a basil plant, cilantro plant and dill plant. I have a large container and wanted to put them all in there together. Is that ok to do with herbs?
You can put any plant with any other, provided they have similar soil and drainage requirements. All of the plants you mentioned would probably do great together, since they require a ph level between 6.0 and 7.0 with well drained soil. Good luck!
I have many different types of herbs planted in the same containers Melissa and they all thrive together.
I would plant the dill by itself, because of how big it can get,, but the other herbs,, go for it,, it works really good an they also look good in 3's,, at least thats my opinion,, If you do plan on planting dill with something else, use a huge container. one i like alot and have also is Hysop, dill and anis. the green of the dill, the bushiness of the anis, and the hysop with its pretty flowers,,, it looks great in a wild way.
