I went out this morning to help dr look for a place to put a cold frame for seedlings and looked at that vegetable bed that's about 16 ft x 8 ft and decided since it had been dug before that it would dig easy. I was right. I dug the whole thing this morning. It does need some additives, but that will come in it's time. I had to have several small breaks for rest but I got it done. This afternoon I took my tractor seat on wheels out on the little hill and cut the scrubby youpon brush. The little hill is all finished but I need to do along the fence. I want to plant morning glories along the fence when it gets warmer. I determined that this year I will have a front yard and some flowers. I'm not sure what I will plant in that bed that I dug up but it will come to me when it's ready to be planted. Now, I think it's rest time before I have to go to bed.

    Well done you!
Hats off to you for doing all that digging. You know that it will pay off later. Wasn't it great to make a start on the season...and it was easy to dig--that makes a difference, doesn't it.

Dooley I don't know how you do all that you do. :-? I'd have had to dig the bed in stages over a few days - you put me to shame. You certainly deserve a rest after all that. Well done. :-D

Doesn't it feel so good to get out there and work in the dirt? Don't over do it though.

Good for you Dooley! The only shovel I'll be using today is the snow shovel!

Wow, well ahead of the season. It's nice to have a plot ready and waiting for seeds. Now you can enjoy planning. We're looking at a snowfall of about a foot so no digging around here.
