plant is a blue butterfly bush. It not only attracts butterflys. It's flowers actually bloom from a green ball into a blue butterfly shaped flower with antennae attached.
it's a beautiful plant. I just can't find them now. Can you find them for me?

    Thanks, Pat

I just got one for $1.99 at a small local nursery.
And I saw some at Lowe's the other day.

Toni, it sounds like Pat is describing the Blue Butterfly Bush (Clerodendrum Ugandense).

Thanks for clearing that up for me. I have never seen that one, another confusing common name ;)

Pat knowing the Latin name will make your search much easier.

When the guy at the nursery said he had Butterfly Bushes on his markdown rack (nothing was tagged yet), I thought he was talking about the Buddleja. Luckily we chatted awhile and he mentioned Clerodendrum. That threw me off, so that's when I asked more about the plant & it's flowers.
Without the "real" name I would have planted it in the wrong spot... and talk about being surprised when it flowered!
