So far only mulch and potting soil. But if I'm by myself. I look down at check and they say PLEASE.

Often my wife and I go plant shopping and most of the time we use one cart. I turn away to look for plants and when I return, there are several plants already in the cart. As I put my selections in with the others, the plants see this and instinctively know that if they jump into the cart no one will be any the wiser. Smart plants!! On a few occasions other people have helped to fill up our cart, but not often. Hmmmm....sneaky plant people?

That's why we bought 30 new Saxifrages yesterday. I swear I only chose 2!

Went to a big-box to get fence posts yesterday and of course the fence posts are in the gardening section. I was attacked by four sweet banana pepper plants, tried fighting them off, but they were too many for me. Now they are in the vegetable garden, plotting (yes, that was a lame pun!).

The plants around here just sit on the shelves and beg me to take them home - even resorting to tears at times. Of course I'm a sucker for a sob story so allow them to fill up my cart 'cause they need a good, loving home. Well that's the story I tell my husband anyway. :p

Just the other day, I had one "hop" into my cart from the mark-down rack. I say "hop" because it was Kangaroo Paw. :D I know I'll have to bring it indoors over the winter... but would could I do? I didn't want to get in a boxing match with it. :stew2:

New England has had ususally warm weather, and I thought the nursery store plants were calling to me to bring them home. So I headed out to my favorite garden store. Not open for the season yet! So I went to my 2nd favorite garden store. Same story. I guess the calling was in my head....

The plants that are on display in my area's stores actually 'follow me' home!
True story... has anyone else had that happen?

That can be a big problem. I need to go and get some larger plants to replace a hedge. I also need some mulch. Who knows what else I will end up getting.
