Do you have any idiosyncrasies?

I just noticed one of mine at the dinner table. Even when I was young I always hold an ear of sweet corn with the small end in my left hand.

    Nope! I am perfectly normal :D  :smt005 :smt003 :smt037 :smt043 :smt082

Well, at least I think I am. maybe, well, I am not so sure. Maybe I do have a few, but since they are my idiosyncrasies I may not realize what they are, huh? Does just realizing that my three boys are like living with my three brothers and their personalities are like mirror images in chronological age to my brothers???? did I make them? I swore I would never raise my children to be like my brothers  and I had no control. So are idiosyncrasies merely inherited traits that we have no control over?

Carolyn, the study of twins separated at birth supports your theory of n"o control over idiosyncracies". I am afraid that mine is talking to myself...probably have several more but people are too polite to point out the others. :D

I get very attached to old things especially technology items. My current cellphone is 10 years old this year and still working well enough. Once I upgrade it I will absolutely not throw it away. I may demote it to being my alarm clock instead. I have the original laptop I built GardenStew on and although it doesn't even have a screen anymore and is slow as mud, I will never part with it.

Frank, I would never never thought you were a saver. I was taught to take care of things you love and you will have them forever. I have done that for sure.

Another one at the dinner table is I size my bites of each item so as to finish eating with one bite of each. Maybe that's why I like sandwiches. :D

Hmm Im sure I have a few. One that comes to mind is talking to myself. Ive been called out on it a few times, but hey, a lot of people do it! My mom is really bad about it, at least I try to keep the words in my mind...

Actually my Mom is a small bit of hoarder so I guess I got it from her. My older brother has it as well. Not so much my younger brother :)

Stop giving me ideas John! :)

I have a need to have everything tidy, always putting everything where it belongs.
I am also habitually on time where ever I go...

Nearly every morning as part of my breakfast i have a freshly boiled egg,.. the egg must be placed in the egg cup with the pointed side up,..then the top chopped off,.. as the egg is being consumed reaching the larger end of the egg,..it is far easier to scoop out the bottom of the egg than had i started off with the large end and finishing up trying to scoop out from the pointed end  :D

Some damned hens upset me by laying round eggs,.. then i have to really examine the egg to see which side is the narrower :-?
