Lucky you. I'd love to have hummingbirds visiting my garden and feeders.

We have more hummers this year than ever before! We have three feeders, and make syrup two or three times a week.
Because of our heat, we only fill the feeders about 1/3 full. If we fill them to capacity the syrup could ferment before it is all eaten, endangering the hummingbirds.

I have heard them all Summer. I haven't seen any at my 5 feeders and I do change it every week. I have a stuffed one in my bathroom and when I moved here they came in the house with me and got stuck in my house. I had to catch them with a light towel and release them out the door. They don't do that anymore but now I have 2 dogs.

They are the cutest things and so friendly.

I, too, have had more Hummers than ever before! I have 3 feeders that I fill twice a week, as well as lots of flowers just for them. There have been 5 chasing each other around the yard the last 2 weeks and they sure get vicious!

Weve got a couple. At least 1 male and 1 female :) I didnt put the feeder up all spring (was too lazy haha) but then decided in July to try it. They came right away! Theyre so cute, and my cat loves chattering at them :) Im pretty sure they nest in the dark purple/red maple in my neighbors yard. I always see them heading towards there.

We have the Annas and the rufous, 3 or 4 of each in the summer, but just the Anna's hummingbird in the winter. I have to keep the feeders out the year round.

Put out another feeder. have used #4 of sugar this week. They stay when I'm hooking the feeders up. Or put hose on mist-fly back and forth .Got some pictures. See if I can post them.
