You could have developed RSI (Repetative strain injury) Koszta. It can be very painful and one of the best things for it is to rest the affective joint. Do let us know what your friend thinks.

Make sure you rest for(at least) for few days. I hope the pain subsides soon. Keeping the wrist support on as it's a good idea and should help. Take care.

I don't get wrist pain from gardening, but I do get a sore forearm/elbow. I always call it tennis elbow even though I don't play tennis. It gets worse when I do a lot of pruning or cutting down plants like I am right now.

Doc did say lot of gardeners should wear brace when digging and pulling weeds. And thick knee pads. I do them -or one of those padded cushions

Doc came back out. She gave me a pair of gardening gloves-has built in wrist support.Small enough can get a hold of weeds and still support wrist area. :D

There's nothing worst then having a pain in the garden. :D I would give up housework before gardening. Those gloves sound like the perfect solution. Do you know the name of them or where to find them?

Connie, I hope your wrist/s feel better soon. I have had wrist problems most of my life, long before I learned to garden. I had ganglion cysts removed twice from my one wrist.

The computer can also aggravate wrist problems and cause carpal tunnel syndrome [wrist pains]. I had to use braces when I was still working because swinging an industrial sized mop all day long 5 days a week, can cause a lot of wrist pains. And then I had torn a ligament or something in one elbow and had to use a brace for over 6 months before it healed.

A few days rest for them could be very helpful for you. :stew1:

Last post went poof. But Dh says he has seen the gloves with wrist support at Menards. But mostly in tool area. So most likely not small enough for woman.I do baby left arm. Like I said broke it in 7 places.Got screws inside. And had 4 outer ones -with hallo bar.And garmet hooks glued and wires. to nails $23,000 back then. Doc said to add a $100'000 now

Connie, sorry to hear you are having problems. It seems you work awfully hard.I know I'm a pansy anymore, hubby does the labor. Most everything is done here except planting new Lilium bulbs I got from IRLS.That's group Wanda is officer in.Going to be a good day to plant them tomorrow.
I used to help a lot with the firewood. When he worked I brought it all in.Used to load truck in timber. Now it is brought home in chunks & split with splitter.

I agree koszta. Body need repair just like auto. BUT they give you no guarantee or 100,000 miles.
