I couldn't get anyone who would go to the doctors for me today so I had to go myself. First appointment was at eleven with the oncologist. We got there and they said my appointment was at 1:30, not 11. My appointment with the surgeon was at 1:30 so after discussion they just switched and I went to the surgeon first. He said I didn't have to see him again unless it is for something else. He told me to stay out of the heat so I asked if I could borrow his exam room. It was nice and cool in there. I told him that it wasn't because I didn't like him or anything like that but I'd just as soon not ever see him again. I got hugs from him and the nurse.
We went and had some lunch and stopped and bought Chance some of her favorite sandwich dog cookies. Then, back to the medical center to see the oncologist. She thinks I'm in good health. She is the one to monitor my health for the next five years for any new cancer cells so she ordered several more tests to establish a baseline. They can't all be done on the same day so a few more trips for those.
She was a nice lady. I liked her a lot. I've had some really nice doctors since I moved here to Texas.
We didn't get finished there until 3:30pm. We made one quick stop at the fabric store because I broke my last heavy duty sewing machine needle last night.
Then, home. We left at 8:30 this morning and got back home around 6 pm. I think I should go to bed soon so I don't go to sleep and fall out of this chair.

I remember my parents lining up appointments so they could all be done together. It usually took them all day to complete the schedule of appointments and the doctors were never on time.

You must be exhausted. At least you have doctors and nurses that you like. Hope you get a good night's rest.

Haha, Dooley, your doctors must appreciate you a lot with your sense of humour. :D I'm glad everything went fine.

Ah, nothing like spending the day visiting with medical personnel to perk a person up  ! I'm so happy that the news you received was good, good news.
Rest up, get back to your sewing, and enjoy!
