Does anybody know what this purple vine flower is?

    Hi everyone!
    This is our first Spring in our new town. There's lots of beautiful flowers everywhere. Does anybody know what this purple vine flower is? The vine looks like to wraps around just about anything.

    I think that your lovely climbing plant is a clematis DaphDaph but I don't know which one. Maybe Droopy, Netty or Toni will be able to ID what species it is.

    It looks like a gorgeous Clematis to me too.I do envy you as thats one of my favorite colors.

    Clematis for sure ..
    I have a light blue similar to that one.
    Gorgous.. Keep its feet shaded.

    Oh yes, definitely a Clematis! There are a few that color...could be Lasurstern, HF Young, or Richard Pennell. I think The President has darker anthers.

    You all are so smart. I knew you could ID it. The flowers in this yard are different from our old home in Charleston. We had full sun most of the day and the opposite here.

    Welcome back DaphDaph! Beautiful flower and color. My neighbor has one like this one and it is gorgeous.
