I know it's late in the year but does anybody use soil blocks. I did a search but did not find anything. I have used them for several years and wondered if anybody else has used them. john

I had to look that up and read about them.

I didn't know what soil blocks were. I have used Jiffy Pellets for starting tomatoes, eggplant and peppers. I also just put potting soil into little trays I got at the Family Dollar Store.

Do you buy soil blocks or make your own?

Okay... I looked them up... and I guess I'm too lazy/tired to do alot of reading. Can you give us a quick synopsis of this method and it's uses?

I used to use soil blocks John but graduated away from them. I feel I get better results using my own seed starting compost/soil mix.
