I got a cutting of this plant from someone/somewhere earlier this year. Don't remember who or where!
It is Kalanchoe gastonis bonnieri. And it's easy to see how it got it's common name, Donkey Ears.
It grows fast and put on lots of babies, but I wasn't prepared for this.
I brought it into the laundry room for the winter.

I've been watching and watching those "buds" in hope that it would actually put out flowers. And it did!

Not the most majestic bloom, but it is kinda neat!

I have never seen a Donkey's Ears bloom! You must be providing just the right conditions, and your green thumb. Congratulations!

What a cool plant and the common name is perfect for those leaves. Kalanchoe gastonis-bonnieri hint, hint, hint photos and any growing information you have learned would be greatly appreciated.

What a neat plant. I've never seen one before. If you take any cuttings from it keep me in mind.

I agree....this is a very neat plant. I can't believe how pretty it is. I also agree that the bud is not the most majestic bloom but it is nice to see.
