Donner is the name of the reindeer in the poem Petronius. I like the thought that it means Thunder Sjeord.
Well, another reindeer is called Blixen....in Dutch this word is Blixem, which means lightning. The international meteorology just continues duddin' nit.
I read that not long after writing the poem Moore changed those two names to what they are now because they made the line flow better.....a poet thing I guess.
