Sometimes an item is very popular and they get more orders than they have product for....but I know it's a big disappointment not to get something as soon as you want it.

The Support Our Troops Gnome that I now have in the garden was originally ordered back in January but was backordered until April. It arrived in early April and I am happy.

I hate it when that happens! It's even worse when you order something that needs to be planted, and you get a back order notice. I ordered five items from Shumway's early in the season (January) and two of them were back ordered. One packet of seeds finally arrived about a month after the planting date, and the other item was "out of stock" and I got a refund. I didn't want the refund, I wanted my shallots!

Oh, I think I know the one you are talking about! I saw it on Amazon today, but it's pretty pricey there. I can see why you were disappointed, it's a nice statue.

I had to go back and find it in case you really wanted it, was this the one? It qualifies for free shipping once it's in your cart. (See special offers)

OK, here I am (as usual) to put in my two Cents - Even though in Pakistan we don't use Dollars and Cents, but Rupees and Paisas]... :p

Alright seriously now. First of all, nearly everything which is today being sold in North America and Europe - Is 99% of the times manufactured in China. So the best place to search for such items should be on the number 1 trader's site of China - Which is AliBaba dot com...

It took me just 5 seconds to find this:
    http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/49184 ... resin.html

By the way, don't be put off by what they all seem to write over there - That their minimum order is 200, or 500, 1000+ pieces. That is just to appear as if they are a big manufacturing company (while the truth is that they are all actually cottage scale industries). So when spoken to directly, they often do agree to ship just a few items as a sample order.

Have a look at these 2 links also, to get an idea of what else is available over there (at the fraction of the price you'll be paying for it in retail).
