:?: Just wondering if anyone knows about replanting geraniums that were dried out for the winter. I kept mine in the garage in a cardboard box after a friend told me this works for her. Now I am ready to plant them and not sure what to do. Should I cut them back first? They still have their roots and dry branches.

I cut them back before I store them. Usually you will see new growth and know that it's time to pot them up. Sometimes it's hard to tell if they will survive so I'll let those soak in water for a few days. If they show no signs of growth after that and they are brittle - old growth just snaps off- they probably didn't survive. If they still have green or are flexible I would pot them up. I usually store mine this way and I think about 60-70 percent of them survive.
