Droopy's computer crashed seriously last night, so she won't be on here for the foreseeable future. She's working on getting it operational again and says that she'll see you when she's back on.
Oh dear she'll be tearing her hair out!! I hope it gets fixed soon as we're really going to miss her here. Thanks for letting us know Sjoerd.
That is horrible! I've been there and it's NOT fun! I hope she's able to save all her data and get that beast running again soon!
Aw, I miss her already. Hope she can get back to working order shortly... Nice of her to let us know so we don't worry.
Hello my dearies! I miss you horribly already. I've borrowed a computer just to check in on you. I'll put the machine in the shop tomorrow and fingers crossed they'll manage to fix it. All my photos are backed up, and I've got a back-up disk but of course some material will be gone forever unless they manage to figure out what the problem is. *sigh*
Oh Droopy I'm going to miss you so much.I hope you get it up and running real soon.It wont be the same if your not here with us.I'm glad you could back up lots even if you loose some its better than loosing it all.
I'll be missing you lot too, Glenda. *hugs* Having an active on-line life and then loosing it all of a sudden is rather traumatic, to be a bit dramatic.
I do know the hard way how it will be.You will find yourself headed to your computer and then remember its not there.I hope they get it repaired soon my friend.
Oh Droopy.... say thank you to the kind person who lent their computer... and tell the computer fixer that we need him to hurry!
Oh 'eck. I hope they can sort out the problem so you don't loose your valuable work and so you can get back online properly asap!! xxx
I've got everything crossed for you Droopy - even my eyes which makes this kinda difficult to type. Let's hope that chappie in the shop fixes your computer quickly and that nothing important is lost. So pleased that someone lent you a computer so that you could get in touch with us.
Report from the shop: The main card is a goner, and replacing it will cost as much as, if not more than, a new hard drive. So we're getting a new one, but it will take a few days to get everything organized. To top everything we won't be able to connect our printer/scanner/copying machine to the new machine so we'll probably need a new one of those as well. I wonder what will be next.
