Ever wonder about your current rainfall? Since I have had to top off the fish pond twice in the last couple of weeks I decided to check out our local conditions. :?: Here is a link for the USA drought conditions? http://droughtmonitor.unl.edu/

Thanks Jewell. Yep, it's pretty dry where I live. We have had some rain, but need much more.

We had a nasty drought last year here in southern Missouri. But we have been having abundant rain since last fall, especially recently.

Last night when I took my dogs out [now 5 dogs since someone dumped another one off on me over a week ago] for their bedtime walk, they mostly just wrapped themselves around my legs and had to be drug around the yard, and Chloe had to be pulled from two of the doghouses because she is so scared of storms... Only 4 went potty, so Chloe slept in the crate last night. Everything is so wet and soggy right now, including my shoes. HOWEVER, THAT IS A GOOD THING! I much prefer all of this rain over a drought any day. My new dog Freddy doesn't like the rain either. I always keep old towels handy on the front porch for when I must bring in my dogs when it is wet out there.

I hope those of you still having drought soon get some really good rains to relieve your problems also.

I'm somewhere between dry and moderate drought. But in reality I think we're just about normal for this time of year. We've been having good and frequent rains.
But it can all change as summer gets near.

We had no rain here for a few weeks,..swans made nests as the river tends to lower to a certain lever in April,..but we have had our river rise beyond April levels this past week and all the swans nests were swamped.

Texas has been in severe drought for almost 3 years so I have had that link already bookmarked for many months and the one with the drought map produced by local weather people and have been checking them frequently. None of the information is uplifting or happy for here.

What little rain we have had so far this year hasn't raised our water reservoirs hardly at all, they are still at just 66 percent full. And the great water faucet in the sky is slowly being closed the closer we get to June.
