I didn't get around to planting my dwarf gladiolus  is it to late? Some of them have started in the package (about 1cm) but have turned brown. Should I go a head and plant or wait until next year? I hate to wait but have planted bulbs in the wrong season before and only got leaves...my first attempts 10yrs ago, I'm learning.

I would plant them. They may not flower, but they should produce the leaves, which will in turn feed the bulb for next year.

If you don't plant them they will surely dry up and die.I had some that did .I forgot them and I lost a lot of bulbs that year because of my absent mind.

Teddy Bear where did you find the dwarfs? I haven't had any luck. How tall will they get to be? I want to try some dwarfs or minis in a planter. I love glads! My mom grew the most amazing glads when I was a kid. Don't know what her secret was.

I got them from www.cottagefarmsdirect.com , they have a great warranty. I've never grown glads because they were to tall for our Texas WIND. I hope these make it.

I have had them before and most of them did not come back in Wisconsin. In fact I don't think I had one that came back from the previous year last summer. Not sure if it was the voles or just Mother nature. I would go ahead and plant them because they most likely will be ready for the garbage within a month. If they have any type of mold, throw them away. Good Luck..
