I have 2 motion sensor lights at the back of the house. I turned them on this morning to feed the cat's and get the trash ready to go out to the end of the drive. Out behind the tractor shed about 150 ft from me were 2 eyes glowing at me! They weren't on the ground like raccoons, but about 5 to 6 ft high. At first I thought it was a person standing in the dark. Finally they moved a little and I could see the outline of a deer! She had been eating the acorns off the ground as she was standing under the big Burr Oak tree! Very disconcerting at 5:30 in the morning and half asleep! They were especially spooky looking as the eyes glowed orange in the light! :)

    Well, I'll bet you're awake now! ;)
I probably would have dropped the cat food and trash and gone dashing back into the house.

Deer eyes usually reflect green. Are you sure what you were seeing was orange and not red?

Might have been red, but as far away as I was, they looked orange!
