The last 2 nights we have had lows down close to 60 deg. F so we have opened up the house and turned off the air cond. We have also had a bright full moon the past 2 nights. This morning at 3 am, I am woke up by the Hootey Hoot of a hoot owl. He was some where down front in the woods, but sounded like he was perched on the window sill. This went on for about 30 minutes. I think his wife told him to shut up and go to bed. I know I did!

I got a good laugh at this one as 'hootyowl' is one of my nicknames on other forums. I do not like getting up so early either as I am more of a late night type person. We have a lot of owls around here and I hear them at night going "Whoooo Whoooo?" Occasionally I see them in the daytime. Maybe they have to work overtime to feed the kids? :stew1:
