    Good morning all.
Experienced my first earthquake yesterday. It was really scary. Pictures fell off the walls, I have two large plate glass mirrors that swung back and forth and the whole house just shook. I thought my house was going to crumble. I have not found any damage yet, but I'm sure there will be. I just hope it's not major.
This weekend I have a hurricane to deal with.

It was felt here in southern Ontario too by many people - I wasn't one of them.
I hope you don't find too much damage Donna.

Donna, how frightening for you, but thank heavens you're fine, and we all hope your home is, too.
Hunker down if the hurricane is close to you. Right now they are predicting landfall in the Carolinas. I hope it loses force before it goes up the coast.

I HEARD that it was felt in Akron, which is only 20 min to the east of us, but i didn't notice it. I was outside, But if it was when I was in the back yard, ALL my chickens RAN for cover and not one of them made a sound. That was very strange to me. I was on the phone at the time and didn't notice anything else, I even went to the pen to see if there was something up in one of the trees that I couldn't see from where I was at. The dog didn't act weird, either.

Sorry to hear about the quake there. We have heard about it here.
I hope that when you search for damage that there won't be any. Fingers crossed that the hurricane dissipates before landfall.

    Hang tough, Donna.

Gosh that must have been enough to set your nerves on edge Donna. Hopefully you'll find that there hasn't been any damage. Let's keep our fingers crossed that the hurricane passes you by. I think an earthquake is more than enough to deal with don't you?
