Last nights' dinner was to be pot roast, potatoes and carrots. Asked my dh to add about a cup of water to the pot to ensure nothing would burn before I got home from an errand. What I failed to mention to him, was that what appeared to be water in my large glass measuring cup was really sugar water that was cooling off, slatted for the hummers. After all, he has seen me use that same container many times before for that very purpose. When I got home I noticed that the sugar water was down about a cup. Lets just say....it was interesting.
Oh, don't feel so bad. I was cleaning the counters one day and had a cup with some clorox water in it....and it went into the roast. OOOOOPS!
