I think I have posted this before, but its time to go in the woods again, and we have new members, so I'm posting it again. Edible Plants. Lots of pictures.
Kroger rules Maybe, if you were with me and I knew I was doing it right and eating the right part, I would try some of that off-beat stuff. My biology professor left a lasting impression on me on hunger and eating. So yes, I should know what to eat out there when I get lost.
Its Fiddleheads,..(Fern Heads) time here in Ireland and Canadian recipe provided,..and i suppose ready for eating elsewhere,..very tasty but its advised not to eat too much,..though they only appear in edible form for about a week. http://www.canadianliving.com/
That was really informative. I will actually be trying the clover and the thistle. I would try more, but I don't have access to those plants. I have already tried the dandelion and the Labrador tea. The dandelion is pretty good and the tea made from Labrador tea is not bad either, however, it is a little bitter, but a little sugar fixed that.
