Here are some of the piccies I took while we were away. This first lot were taken at the Norfolk Lavender Farm. The lavender, sadly, had finished flowering but there was still plenty to see.
Great fotos Eileen. I have been to the same Lavender Farm with old mill. I found it very interesting. Sadly I was there too late for the Lavender in bloom as well, but I took the little tour anyway because i wanted to see how they made the oil. That is a nice selection of dahlias. I sort of like dahlias--there are so many different types. I'm looking forward to the second posting now.
Toni I don't know the exact name of the flowers in the third photograph. I just know that they are a type of dahlia - they are stunning aren't they? :-D
Beautiful flowers but your photos are stunning! So nice of you to take me to the Norfolk Lavender Farm with you! Love the orange dahlia too.
Oh, dahlias! Look at those colours, amazing. I can nearly smell the rose and nicotiana all the way here. Mmmm. (Inhaling deeply.)
The orange blossom against the backdrop of those dark leaves just makes the color pop out and smack you in the eye. I really like those...have to do a search to see if they will grow down here.
Those are beautiful photos, Eileen. Thanks for posting them. I can't imagine the sight and scent of a field of Lavender. It must be heavenly.
