Digitally manipulated photography has recently become a popular pastime. Advanced software technology makes faked photos harder to detect. When it works its way into journalism and the media, the issue of ethics comes to the forefront. However, if your purpose was to create a fiction, a piece of art, or just for fun, then it is ok.

The following photo is manipulated just for fun. The original photo was taken this summer in Toronto Zoo.

Amazing what one can do these days. I liked the "after" best. The baby is adorable.

That's wonderful work Nan. What software did you use to create the after picture?

I'd be proud to frame and hang the third one in my home Nan - digitally manipulated or not. :D

Digitally enhanced or not - it sure is a pretty site. So cute with the baby.

I love it! The wonders of technology!
I've spent many hours wandering around the Toronto Zoo but never rode an elephant.

    Thank you all.

To Frank: I used Photoshop. The challenge is to keep the body hairs at edge. Eventually, I decided to remove them all and then redraw them.
