It appears you have one of the many varieties of Tagetes patula (French Marigold) They are very easy to grow, need full sun (6+hours per day), when established they are drought tolerant. They pretty much live off the nutrients available in the soil so extra fertilizer isn't necessarily needed as long as your soil is healthy. They are considered an annual but if you live in an area that doesn't have any cold winter weather it could be a perennial for you. They will attract beneficial bees and butterflies to your garden and white flies and aphids hate the smell of them so they stay away from any other plants near them.
I would suggest some sort of anti-slug and snail preparation as they are considered a delicacy(well they are in my garden which is why I don't grow them any more :-? )
yes I had some grow here this summer and all I did was water every evening and they went crazy I gathered seeds when I could so will have many next year I hope they are so pretty
