Empty flower pots mean winter is coming

Hello everyone, Well I was looking at Zinnia's Garden a minute ago, She was showing her empty flower pots, It's so sad to see those flower pots empty, That can't mean anything but it's time for winter, no more playing in the dirt and seeing everyone's gardens, Oh well I guess it's just me It just gave me a sad moment. But it won't be long and I will be starting my overwinter seeds, I have never done it so I am excited about that. You all have a nice evening.

I am also sad about empty flower pots.. :'(
I have been emptying, cleaning, and putting them away. To wait for another spring...

 

I emptied the flower pots and tubs I had sitting in the backyard this morning. I was ready for a rest when we went to the 'Peter Pan' show this afternoon. I emptied them into the backyard and raked it down flat. I'll put some grass seed there and hope it makes us a better yard in the spring. Chance likes the bigger yard we made for her. She'll like the grass too until I begin filling pots next spring. dooley

 

No Margie, it isn't just you. I get sad when my flower pots get emptied too

 

I find it a bit sad too in a way...but I have so much to plan, that I am sure the feeling will soon fade. Hang in there...and good luck with your winter planting.

 

The sight of empty pots makes me sad too.

The summer went by too quickly. Or rather, the winter arrived too early. I've got both empty pots and pots that are frozen solid. I've put them upside-down in hope of slightly warmer weather so I can empty them, but since we've got even colder weather forecast I guess they're going to sit like that until spring. *sigh*

 

Thanks for checking out my pics! I am new on the site,and I actually stumbled upon the speaking of my empty pots:-( I like to look at them as new beginnings! And the wheel barrel with water "Gardener's Reflections"......(if you look close enough you can see the trees reflections)but in another sense reflections on past gardening. I took those before I moved... now I have a clean slate of property to make my own. Happy planting, imagining,gardening, junking and planning for my empty pots (and empty gardens) at my new house!

 

I feel for you guys I can't say I know what it is like, since I live in Florida we get to have planters and actual gardens all year
