Here in the states, we are being inundated with pumpkin spice this, pumpkin spice that. There are pumpkin spice scented candles, pumpkin spice coffee drinks, pumpkin spice air fresheners, and perhaps the ultimate, pumpkin spice scented bathroom tissue! I hope this is a USA silliness, and not global. If it is global, there are astronauts in the space station that will refuse to return to earth until next February.
Never have cared for pumpkin spice flavored anything. But lots of people really look forward to Autumn just to be able to find drinks and other foods made with it.
We have pumpkin spice everything here in Ontario as well. It used to be a flavor reserved for fall, but this year it was out by the middle of summer. I might also mention that my local walmart had some Christmas items out on the shelf on September 4th.
I was at the local Dollar Tree, and it looked as if Halloween had exploded in the store! The scent of cinnamon and "pumpkin spice" was so prevalent that I hurried my shopping and got out of there. Walmart has Christmas items on display here, also. What happened to Thanksgiving? I love Thanksgiving!
