Ours is a lovely warm yellow colour...as I think it's a light but warm glow to the home in my opinion when entering.
I have so many questions!!! Do you have pictures? There are so many things that would affect the color I'd choose. Are there windows? Mirrors? Is it a little space or a long hall or a larger entry way? What do you see as you step into your home? You don't have to answer any of those questions, they're just some of the factors I would consider if I was choosing for my own home If you're wallpapering, stripes generally lend height to a room if the ceiling is low. A pattern that's too busy is going to make a very small space feel crowded. Lighter colors, and if it's a pattern an uncrowded one with lots of space between will tend to make a room feel bigger. Generally speaking, an entrance to a home should be warm and welcoming, so I'd certainly choose from a palette of warm colors rather than the cooler tones.
Ronni just took a pic of our hall mate the yellow doesn't show so much with the light on than with out sorry but where it drops back on the right we have a large wooden mirror filling that space and the reason for not many pictures I was brought up surrounded by them and it totally put me off...the odd few is ok but going mad like my mom did..well it was way to much and my hubby is the same as myself.
