I am trying to find good sources for essential oils. Something not too expensive, but still reliable, and without astronomical shipping prices. Thanks.
http://www.brambleberry.com/Essential-Oils-C157.aspx http://www.mountainroseherbs.com/aroma/ess.html Whole Foods Markets These are the three places I get mine and a couple of local herb shops. Of the three I like the prices at Brambleberry best. When ordering as opposed to buying at a local store, figure out what tax is locally and what shipping would be from online to see which is the best price. You will probably only be using 10-30 drops in the lotion, depending on the quantity you're are making and the recipe you are using so a 2 oz bottle will last you a long time.
Thank you Toni, :-D they look perfect. The prices on Brambleberry look very good too. Thanks again, Kathy
Thanks for the link Carolyn. I ended up getting two beautiful scents from my local GNC. One is Grapefruit, very light and fruity, and one is Cinnamon/Cassia, earthy...a good bottom note. This way I can play with the fragrances and the recipe I found over the weekend. I will bookmark the other sites to use in the future. Thanks again.
Try out the cinnamon on your skin before putting it in lotion. Pure Cinnamon E.O. can cause bad skin irritations and reddening. I have to use candy flavoring cinnamon in the soaps I make because of that and even then I have to limit the amount I use or it will still be uncomfortably warm on the skin. I use Grapefruit in soaps a lot, nice fragrance that gives you a relaxed, uplifted feeling and it has been used for years as an antiseptic to clean skin.
