I wanted to share this year's Norwegian ESC winner, young Alexander with the fiddle and his very energetic dancers. The song has elements from Norwegian folk music, and the dancers have mixed the traditional Halling dance into their performance. I get breathing trouble just by watching their jumps. Enjoy:

    Alexander Rybak

Wonder how they'll do in the international finals.

Thanks Droopy, I did enjoy that, very much. He's a talented young man and certainly not short on charisma! Good luck to Norway!

That's a catchy tune Droopy, I think you'll have a good chance this year. Better than Ireland's turkey last year anyhow :)

    I agree, Ophelia, he's a sweetie. :D

Thanks for liking the tune. I'm not a big ESC-fan, but I like to watch the international finals. It's a good show, generally speaking.

I think Norway is onto a winner with that young man Droopy. Fingers crossed he makes it all the way to the international finals and then goes on to win. :stew2:

Good luck to Alexander and Norway. I really enjoyed him and his music, Droopy. Something about ethnic music touches the heart, no matter how modern we get.

    Good luck this year, Droopy.
If it were talent that determined the winner, I'd absolutely think that he'd win--even having never seen the other contestants.

Thanks for liking our up-and-coming star. :D I'm not holding my breath for the international finals, since I know the competition will be hard, but I hope he does well. The Greeks like him a lot, and have offered him a record contract already. :D

He's very cute and talented and it's nice that he won. I especially like his fiddle playing. My grandfather was a fiddle player (Irish, though, not Norwegian). Thanks for sharing and congrats to Norway on that win!

Thank you! :D I know the bookies in UK had him as a favourite.

We hoped for a good result, but I think there were many good songs this year. I voted for Malta.
