This little chap was cleaning himself on a green plastic sheet in the garden. Now this little guy took me an hour and a half to get a shot of. He was far, far quicker than my finger on the camera button!! The piccie is a little blurred as I had to enlarge it or you'd never have spotted him in the origional one. A weasel!!!
Thank you for captureing those pictures .Yes all animals help the colors and views.I was just outside everything is just so attractive out there.I wondered around all over my yard .My 2 roses are blooming again .My yellow and purple angel trumpets are blooming again .The Zinnias has out done their selves this year even with hardly no rain. The Crepe Mertles are in full bloom also my confederate rose is so pretty..Only one Plumeria blooming but it has bloomed now for about a month so pretty. The Mexican Petunias are sill blooming all over and so is the cigar plant.I have took pictures but have to get them developed .I'm afraid they will get messed up again.I will take them Saturday .Oh yes ,my virginia creeper is starting to change colors this morning.
Great pics my little dog Charity the Possum Killer looks like a weasel that is one of her nicknames. I wold tell you what my family calls me but Frank wont allow those kinds of words.
Your weasel is a cutie pie. Are they ermines in the winter? What patience you have to wait that long for a pic.
The weasel A bucket of mischief if ever there was one. Do you know that they perform stealth reconnaissance for gnomes. It's true! Nice wasp closeup too Eileen. Admire the wing structure. How on earth did you sneak up on that weasel BTW?
I didn't have to sneak up on it Frank I just stood there getting a sore back and aching legs. It kept popping its head out of it's hidey hole to see if I was still around and eventually I managed to get a shot of it. We have stoats, weasels, polecats, and pine martins here in Scotland Jan. The stoat is the one that turns white in winter - all except the end of its tail which is black. Such a shame that some people still kill it for it's ermine. Here's a piccie of one from last year. It was hunting for froglets on the patio.
So that's why the expression on its face seems to be saying: "Jeez is that crazy woman STILL out there! Here just take my photo already so I can get the heck out of here!"
I'll bet that's exactly what he was saying Frank!!! I won't tell you what I was saying after all that time standing out in the cold getting nibbled on by midges.
I love the contrast of the wasp against the green. As for the weasel-a cutie! Yes, sometimes you just have to get the shot and worry about the aches and pains later.
