Nice. I love the pink center in the hens and chicks photo. I haven't seen one like that before, I don't think.
What that "wispy" looking plant... the second from last. Everything looks picture perfect over at Philips!
Cheryl, that wispy plant is his Fennel I believe. Everything is so gorgeous. How large a space is your garden, it looks to be a walled in courtyard that you have filled with beautiful plants. Those Poppies are beautiful the way the sun almost glows through them.
Hi Folks, apart from the nice warm weather,..we only have five and a half hours of darkness here at present,..and still at least one good shower of rain every day,..which may sound good,..but dodgy when the sun comes out directly afterward,..it burns the leaves on roses!,..and everything else. ----------------------------------------------------- Carolyn,..those Hens & Chicks with the pinkish hue in the center arrived when i set up a new area for them to grow,..i still of course have the older location with succulents. ---------------------------------------------------- Cheryl,.. and Toni,..yes Toni is correct about that wispy looking plant,..it is Purple Fennel,..it grows to approx 5 foot high,..has a scent like aniseed,..and indeed tastes like aniseed,..its used in fish dishes,..below is a more mature one which i lost to heavy frost last winter. ( photo / image / picture from Philip Nulty's Garden ) ---------------------------------------------------- Toni, my garden is only 40 foot long by 30 foot wide,..there is a 4 foot walkway beyond the garden to enable me to have fuel or whatever delivered,..beyond that is an old wall 7 foot high,..then a space of 6 foot where it meets a wall 18 foot high,..there is a garden on each side of mine,..but a cement shed and a small hedge divides them from mine,..so i have a suntrap of a garden,..with plenty of shelter and privacy. ---------------------------------------------------- Eileen,Sherry8,Frank,Jerry and KK Ng,..i am pleased you like what you see and the constant changes taking place as the seasons change.
