This is our "lollypop" maple in our tiny front garden this morning. I prune off about six inches all the way round each year to stop it getting too big. Have done this for over a decade, it's still about sixteen feet high. I like it when the leaves first come out, "all pink and green." In contrast, this is how it was on 7th May, 2019. Last year, it wasn't much further forward than this year.
I appreciate seeing how things are developing the across the channel. I am guessing that you are about two weeks ahead of us here. Our wisteria is nowhere near as developed as that flower bunch ( is it called a truss? ) seen on your last foto. Nice Clem, BTW.
